Day trip from Essaouira

Why people like it
South of Sidi Kaouki a small river comes down the hills in a chain of pools and falls and ends on the sand. It is one of the few places in Morocco where you can swim in fresh water and the Atlantic within a few steps. It feels remote because it is: a track, a shrine, a couple of fishermen.
What you can do
- Walk down from the track to the falls and pools (about 20 minutes each way, easy).
- Swim in the pools in spring, or in the ocean below.
- Picnic in the shade of the argan trees.
- Visit the shrine of Sidi M'barek above the beach.
- Stop at Sidi Kaouki for lunch on the way back.
Good to know
Best after rain, winter to spring
The falls shrink to a trickle in late summer and autumn; ask us about the water before you choose this spot. Good shoes for the path.
How it works
- You choose the date, the departure time and the return time. Nothing is fixed in advance.
- Your driver takes you there, waits for you on site and brings you back. You visit at your own pace, no guide, no group.
- We reply with one price for the car, whatever the number of passengers it carries. You pay the driver on the day.
