1. Introduction and Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to Morocco Blue Taxi. By booking our services through this website, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

Morocco Blue Taxi is operated by Mounir, a licensed taxi driver and leader of a local taxi driver community based in Essaouira, Morocco. When you book with us, your service may be provided by Mounir himself or by one of his trusted colleague drivers from the Essaouira taxi community.

1.1 Services Offered

We provide the following transportation services in Morocco:

  • Airport Transfers: Pickup and drop-off services to/from major airports (Marrakech, Agadir, Casablanca, Essaouira)
  • Intercity Transfers: Point-to-point transportation between cities
  • Tours and Excursions: Transportation for day trips and sightseeing activities
  • Driver Hire Services: Multi-day hire of driver and vehicle for custom itineraries

1.2 Service Area

Our primary service area is Essaouira and surrounding regions. We also serve major cities including Marrakech, Agadir, and Casablanca.

2. Booking Process

2.1 How to Book

You can book our services through:

  • Our website booking forms (available 24/7)
  • Email contact (response within 24-48 hours)
  • Phone/WhatsApp contact during business hours

2.2 Booking Status

When you submit a booking through our website:

  1. Pending Status: Your booking is initially marked as "Pending" and awaits our review
  2. Review Period: We review your booking details and confirm driver availability
  3. Confirmed Status: Once we confirm availability, your booking status changes to "Confirmed"

2.3 Money Transfer Requirement (Outside Essaouira)

Important: For pickups located OUTSIDE of Essaouira or Essaouira Airport, a 35% advance payment via money transfer is REQUIRED at least 48 hours before your pickup date.

Accepted money transfer services:

  • Western Union
  • MoneyGram
  • Other international money transfer services

Money transfer details will be provided in your booking confirmation email.

2.4 Confirmation Requirements

To finalize your confirmed booking:

  • For Essaouira/Essaouira Airport pickups: Phone or WhatsApp confirmation is recommended but not required
  • For all other pickup locations: You MUST send the 35% money transfer at least 48 hours before pickup date

Note: Confirmed bookings without the required money transfer (for non-Essaouira pickups) may be canceled.

2.5 Customer Contact

We strongly recommend contacting us via WhatsApp or phone to confirm your booking details, especially for:

  • Airport pickups (to confirm flight details)
  • Multi-day services
  • Custom or complex itineraries

3. Payment and Pricing

3.1 When Payment is Due

Payment is collected at the time of pickup by your assigned driver.

Exception: For pickups outside Essaouira/Essaouira Airport, a 35% advance payment via money transfer is required (see Section 2.3).

3.2 Accepted Payment Methods

At Pickup (Full Payment):

  • Cash (preferred): Euros (€) or Moroccan Dirhams (MAD)
  • Card Payment: Subject to availability. Card reader equipment may not be available with all drivers. Please confirm card payment availability when booking.

Advance Payment (35% for non-Essaouira pickups):

  • Western Union
  • MoneyGram
  • Other international money transfer services

3.3 Pricing Structure

All prices are displayed in Euros (€) and include:

  • Driver service
  • Vehicle usage
  • Fuel costs
  • Standard waiting time (see Section 6.2)

Transfer Services:

  • Base price includes up to 4 passengers
  • Additional passengers (up to 6 total): Surcharge as shown during booking
  • Maximum 6 passengers per standard taxi

Tour Services:

  • Price includes transportation only
  • Guide services (if requested): Subject to availability and additional cost
  • Activity tickets and entrance fees: Customer's responsibility

Driver Hire Services:

  • Daily rate includes driver and vehicle
  • Multi-day bookings: Discount may apply
  • Customer is responsible for driver's accommodation costs (hotel/lodging for overnight trips)

3.4 Price Guarantee

Prices are fixed once your booking is confirmed, EXCEPT in cases of:

  • Major fuel price increases (20% or more)
  • Government-imposed tax or fee changes

If price adjustment is necessary, you will be informed at least 48 hours before your pickup date and can choose to accept the new price or cancel without penalty.

3.5 Currency and Exchange

While prices are quoted in Euros (€), we accept payment in:

  • Moroccan Dirhams (MAD)
  • US Dollars (USD)
  • British Pounds (GBP)
  • Other major currencies (please confirm availability when booking)

Payment will be calculated using the current exchange rate at time of payment.

4. Cancellation and No-Show Policy

4.1 Customer Cancellation - Essaouira/Essaouira Airport Pickups

For pickups within Essaouira or Essaouira Airport (no advance payment required):

  • More than 48 hours before pickup: Free cancellation, no penalty
  • Less than 48 hours before pickup: Please notify us as soon as possible. While no payment is required, we ask for courtesy notification to allow us to reassign the driver
  • No-show (customer not present at pickup location): Service is forfeited, and customer may be declined for future bookings

4.2 Customer Cancellation - Non-Essaouira Pickups

For pickups OUTSIDE Essaouira/Essaouira Airport (35% advance payment required):

  • More than 48 hours before pickup: Free cancellation with full refund of the 35% advance payment
  • Less than 48 hours before pickup: The 35% advance payment is NON-REFUNDABLE
  • No-show: The 35% advance payment is NON-REFUNDABLE, and remaining 65% is not charged

4.3 Why Advance Payment for Non-Essaouira Pickups?

When pickup location is outside Essaouira, our drivers must travel significant distances (sometimes 2-3 hours) to reach you. The 35% advance payment:

  • Covers driver's travel costs and time
  • Ensures serious booking commitment
  • Protects against last-minute cancellations after driver has already departed

4.4 Company Cancellation

If Morocco Blue Taxi must cancel your service due to:

  • Driver illness or emergency
  • Vehicle breakdown
  • Unforeseen circumstances

We will:

  • Notify you as soon as possible
  • Provide full refund of any advance payment made
  • Attempt to arrange alternative driver if available

4.5 How to Cancel

To cancel your booking:

  • Log into your account and cancel through "My Bookings"
  • Contact us via WhatsApp or phone
  • Send email to our contact address

Cancellations are effective from the time we receive and confirm your cancellation request.

5. Tour Services - Important Details

5.1 What's Included in Tours

Our tour services include:

  • Transportation: Pickup, drop-off, and travel between locations
  • Driver service: Professional driver throughout the tour
  • Vehicle: Comfortable, clean vehicle suitable for the number of passengers

5.2 What's NOT Included

The following are NOT included in tour prices unless specifically stated:

  • Entrance fees: Museum tickets, monument access, activity fees
  • Guide services: Professional tour guides (available on request, subject to availability and additional cost)
  • Meals: Lunch, snacks, or refreshments
  • Personal expenses: Shopping, tips, souvenirs

5.3 How Tour Services Work

  1. Driver transports you to each location/activity
  2. You explore, visit, or participate in activities independently
  3. Driver waits or picks you up at agreed time
  4. Driver transports you to next location or back to accommodation

5.4 Optional Guide Services

For certain tours, we can arrange professional licensed tour guides through our partner network:

  • Guide availability must be confirmed at time of booking
  • Additional fee applies (specified before booking confirmation)
  • Guide services are provided by independent licensed professionals

5.5 Tour Itinerary Changes

We reserve the right to modify tour itineraries due to:

  • Weather conditions
  • Road closures
  • Site closures or restricted access
  • Safety concerns

Customers will be notified of any changes as soon as possible.

6. Customer Responsibilities

6.1 Accurate Information

Customers must provide:

  • Correct pickup location and address
  • Accurate contact phone number (preferably WhatsApp)
  • Flight details for airport transfers (flight number, arrival time, terminal)
  • Number of passengers and luggage
  • Any special requirements or requests

Incorrect information that causes service delays or issues is the customer's responsibility.

6.2 Punctuality and Waiting Time

Customer must be ready at the designated pickup location at the agreed time.

Standard Waiting Time (included in price):

  • Airport pickups: Driver will wait up to 60 minutes after actual flight arrival time
  • Hotel/accommodation pickups: Driver will wait up to 15 minutes after scheduled pickup time
  • Other locations: Driver will wait up to 10 minutes after scheduled time

Excessive Delays:

  • Delays beyond standard waiting time may result in additional charges or service cancellation
  • If driver must leave due to excessive delay, it will be treated as a no-show (see Section 4)

6.3 Luggage and Passenger Limits

  • Maximum 6 passengers per standard taxi
  • Luggage space is limited - please inform us if you have oversized or excessive baggage
  • Large groups: Contact us for multiple vehicle arrangements

6.4 Behavior and Conduct

Customers must:

  • Treat drivers with respect and courtesy
  • Comply with Moroccan laws and regulations
  • Refrain from smoking in vehicles (unless driver explicitly permits)
  • Not consume alcohol or illegal substances in vehicles

Prohibited Behavior:

  • Intoxication or drug use that compromises safety
  • Abusive, threatening, or aggressive behavior
  • Illegal activities
  • Damage to vehicle property

Morocco Blue Taxi reserves the right to refuse or terminate service immediately for inappropriate behavior, with no refund.

6.5 Children and Safety

  • Child car seats available on request (please specify at booking)
  • Parents/guardians responsible for child safety and behavior
  • Seatbelts must be worn at all times

7. Driver and Service Standards

7.1 Professional Drivers

All drivers in the Morocco Blue Taxi network are:

  • Licensed taxi drivers in Morocco
  • Experienced in tourist transportation
  • Familiar with major routes and destinations
  • Capable of basic communication in French and/or English

7.2 Vehicle Standards

All vehicles used for our services:

  • Are properly licensed and insured
  • Undergo regular maintenance
  • Are clean and well-maintained
  • Meet Moroccan safety and transportation standards

7.3 Driver Assignment

  • You will be assigned either Mounir (owner/operator) or a trusted colleague driver
  • Driver assignment depends on availability and scheduling
  • Specific driver requests cannot be guaranteed but can be noted in special requests

7.4 Communication

Customers must contact Mounir 24 hours before pickup (when possible) to confirm booking details via:

  • WhatsApp (preferred)
  • Phone call
  • Email

If we do not receive confirmation from you, Mounir may send a WhatsApp message or email reminder.

On the day of service:

  • Mounir (or assigned driver) will be reachable by phone
  • Contact information provided in your booking confirmation email
  • All communication should go through Mounir

7.5 Service Guarantee

We are committed to:

  • Punctual pickup at agreed times
  • Safe and comfortable transportation
  • Professional and courteous service
  • Clean and well-maintained vehicles

If you experience any issues with service quality, please contact us immediately.

8. Liability and Insurance

8.1 Vehicle Insurance

All vehicles used by Morocco Blue Taxi are insured according to Moroccan law requirements, including:

  • Third-party liability insurance
  • Passenger insurance as required by Moroccan regulations

8.2 Personal Belongings

Morocco Blue Taxi is NOT responsible for:

  • Lost, stolen, or damaged personal belongings
  • Items left in vehicles
  • Valuables (money, jewelry, electronics, documents)

Recommendation: Keep valuables with you at all times and check the vehicle before exiting.

8.3 Accidents and Incidents

In the event of a traffic accident:

  • Emergency services will be contacted immediately if needed
  • Insurance procedures will follow Moroccan legal requirements
  • We will assist with necessary documentation and police reports

Morocco Blue Taxi's liability is limited to what is covered by our insurance policies under Moroccan law.

8.4 Limitation of Liability

Morocco Blue Taxi is NOT liable for:

  • Missed flights due to traffic, weather, or unforeseen road conditions
  • Delays caused by circumstances beyond our control
  • Indirect or consequential losses (missed connections, hotel bookings, event tickets, etc.)
  • Personal injury due to customer's own actions or negligence
  • Issues with third-party services (guides, attractions, restaurants, etc.)

8.5 Force Majeure

We are not responsible for service delays or cancellations due to:

  • Natural disasters (floods, earthquakes, severe weather)
  • Civil unrest or political instability
  • Road closures or government restrictions
  • Strikes or labor disputes
  • Other events beyond our reasonable control

8.6 Customer Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend that customers purchase comprehensive travel insurance covering:

  • Trip cancellation/interruption
  • Medical emergencies
  • Personal belongings
  • Transportation delays

9. Booking Modifications and Special Requests

9.1 Modifying Your Booking

Customers may request changes to confirmed bookings, subject to availability:

What can be modified:

  • Pickup time or date
  • Pickup/drop-off location
  • Number of passengers
  • Service type or route

Modification Notice Requirements:

  • Transfer Services: At least 24 hours before scheduled pickup
  • Tour Services: At least 48 hours before tour date
  • Driver Hire Services: At least 72 hours before start date

How to Request Modifications:

  • Log into your account and submit modification request
  • Contact us via WhatsApp, phone, or email
  • Provide your booking reference number

9.2 Modification Fees

  • Modifications made within the notice period (as above): FREE
  • Modifications made with less notice: May incur additional charges or be treated as cancellation + new booking
  • Price changes due to route/service changes will be communicated before confirmation

9.3 Special Requests

We welcome special requests such as:

  • Child car seats
  • Extra luggage space
  • Specific pickup/drop-off points
  • Stops along the route
  • Accessibility requirements

Important: Special requests must be made at time of booking or at least 48 hours in advance. We will do our best to accommodate requests but cannot guarantee availability.

9.4 Route Changes During Service

Minor route adjustments (extra stops, alternate routes) can be discussed with your driver on the day of service, subject to:

  • Driver approval
  • Additional charges may apply for significant detours
  • Must not compromise subsequent bookings or schedules

10. Privacy and Data Protection

10.1 Information We Collect

When you book our services, we collect:

  • Name and contact information (email, phone number)
  • Pickup and destination addresses
  • Flight details (for airport transfers)
  • Payment information (for money transfers)
  • Special requests or requirements

10.2 How We Use Your Information

Your personal information is used only to:

  • Process and confirm your booking
  • Communicate with you about your service
  • Assign drivers and coordinate pickup
  • Provide customer support
  • Send booking confirmations and receipts
  • Comply with legal obligations

10.3 Information Sharing

We do NOT sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties, except:

  • With your assigned driver (necessary contact and pickup information only)
  • When required by Moroccan law or legal authorities
  • With payment processors (for money transfer verification)

10.4 Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. However, no internet transmission is completely secure.

10.5 Data Retention

We retain your booking information for:

  • Active bookings: Until service is completed
  • Historical records: Up to 2 years for accounting and customer service purposes
  • After retention period: Data is securely deleted

10.6 Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal information
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements)
  • Withdraw consent for marketing communications

10.7 GDPR Compliance

For customers in the European Union, we comply with General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) requirements. Your data is processed lawfully and with your consent.

11. Dispute Resolution and Contact Information

11.1 Customer Complaints

If you experience any issues with our service, please contact us immediately:

During Service:

  • Contact Mounir directly via phone or WhatsApp
  • Issues will be addressed in real-time when possible

After Service:

  • Email us with your booking reference number
  • Describe the issue and provide any relevant details
  • We aim to respond within 48 hours

11.2 Complaint Resolution Process

  1. Submit complaint via email, WhatsApp, or phone
  2. We will investigate and review your case
  3. Response provided within 5 business days
  4. If resolution requires refund or compensation, it will be processed within 14 days

11.3 Refund Requests

Refund requests must include:

  • Booking reference number
  • Detailed explanation of the issue
  • Supporting evidence (photos, messages, receipts if applicable)

Approved refunds will be processed via the original payment method (money transfer reversal or cash return arrangement).

11.4 Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Morocco. Any disputes will be resolved under Moroccan jurisdiction.

Morocco Blue Taxi reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on our website with an updated "Last Modified" date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

11.7 Severability

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
